PIG IN THE PARK BBQ CHAMPIONSHIP
Find your groove at the Market on Madison Friday night, March 6th at 7:30 with the kick off of downtown Dublin's First Friday Concert Series,
St. Patrick's Pig in the Park BBQ Championship. The competition heats up Saturday, March 7th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. as teams compete and the family fun continues.
Grab your coolers, lawn chairs and friends and family as downtown spices things up with food vendors, rides for the kids, and sounds sure to light up the night. Sponsored by Main Street Dublin, the St. Patrick's Pig in the Park BBQ Championship pits competitors against each other in three categories: ribs, pulled pork and, new this year, an open category with first, second, and third place awarded in each division. Savor the sights and smells as downtown Dublin fires up for this annual event.

BALLOON FEST & CARNIVAL
Watch as color lights the skies above Dublin as a multitude of hot air balloons float in a race to the finish in a three-day celebration of St. Patrick's Day during the
Balloon Fest! Beginning Friday, March 6th from 4:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.and continuing Saturday, March 7th from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m., the festivities end with the annual Balloon Glow and Carnival at Southern Pines Expo & Ag Center on Sunday, March 8th from 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. when the balloons will again take to the skies to celebrate their victory.
The Carnival features midway rides, games and a delectable assortment of carnival foods.

St. Patrick's World Safari Exhibit
Visitors will trek through the snow covered Artic, the steamy swamps of Florida, and the thickets of Mexico as they view rare animals from North America, Asia, Europe, and Russia with a trip through the
World Safari Collection. Featuring over 130 exhibits of big game trophies, this educational collection includes a ten foot polar bear, cougar, sheep, alligator, six species of caribou, walrus, and much more, including a man-eating deer from China.
Owned by hunting legend, Dr. J.Y. Jones, the collection highlights Dr. Jones' adventures on his expeditions to Africa and Slovakia. Dr. Jones will be on hand to sign copies of his newly released book, "Another Rifle, Another Land."
Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12, and free for children 5 and under, and are available at the door.

Leprechaun Road Race featuring a 1K Fun Run/Walk, 5K, and 10K where the whole family can run to support charity on Saturday, March 21st at 8 a.m.. Get those Irish eyes smiling and feet moving in support of CASA, King's Cleft Children's Home, and WINGS in the race to crown the fastest leprechaun!
